Amongst the trophies presented at each year's AGM is one for "The Most Improved Runner". From 2010 there will be individual awards for male and female. The criteria for the awards are as follows:

The most improved male runner and most improved female runner will have demonstrated their improvement over the year from May to April, in any of the following areas:

• Personal Bests over established race distances such as 10km, 10 mile, marathon, etc.

• Personal achievements in other events such as ultra races, multi-sport events, or any other significant personal accomplishment for the member

• Completing more races than before or races over new distances such as running their first marathon

• Faster times in the club’s quarterly 5.33 mile Recurring Handicap Events

• Results in the Club Championships, Club Handicap and Club Age-Graded Competitions

• Longer or faster club runs including running faster, longer or more, intervals or repetitions

The most improved runners will be the members adjudged by the committee to have improved the most during the year, when all of the above criteria are considered. None of the above criteria have more significance than any other, as members will have different personal goals and different approaches to racing.
